Founder of GettingIntoActing.com, Catrine McGregor presents a rich career in the world of Film and TV, having amassed well over 1200 projects nationwide, as a CSA Casting Director and Film Producer. Her teaching experience spans 35 years of coaching actors of all ages and all levels of skill.
Carrying a dual Masters degree in Film, TV and Education from Loyola Marymount University, Los Angeles, California, launched Catrine into multiple production positions in LA. Realizing casting a fulfilling niche led Catrine into becoming a full time Casting Director. This vocation allowed her to work closely with actors and producers offering her a microscopic exposure to the art of acting with the business of the industry. She knew it to be the perfect blend contributing to her skillfully unique method for teaching actors, which she continues to refine.

Catrine's had the privilege and pleasure of working on award winning films; On Golden Pond and Carrie , in addition to Bladerunner working with award winning actors; Jane Fonda, Danny Glover, Selma Hayek, John Travolta, Kirsten Dunst, Ernie Hudson and many more. She's received 3 Codie Awards for Best Game in the TEX MURPHY SERIES and received a CSA nomination for FIRESTARTER. Later, Catrine added Producing to her repertoire. Walking the red carpet has been an honor for Catrine but it's never swayed her from maintaining a well grounded and realistic industry perspective enhancing her teaching process. Assisting talent in their growth has always been a genuine passion for Catrine. She possesses a deep understanding and appreciation for actors and instinctively knows how to tap into an actors psyche to elicit their best audition or performance. It is this love that she's harnessed into the design of GettingIntoActing.com, a program built for individuals wanting to begin their acting journeys and for experienced actors in need of leveling up their game.
